Two local boys are stuck in a cursed cabin in the woods with a bunch of college kids whose skepticism leads to one (literally) fatal misunderstanding after another. Although admittedly the stereotypes – from the lovable, but limited hillbillies to the arrogant, judgmental college brats – are outrageous enough to make you actually accept them, the funny moments are just not funny and the embarrassments not embarrassing enough to lift the movie above the easily forgettable and borderline boring.
TUCKER & DALE VS. EVIL | Directed by Eli Craig (Canada 2010) with Tyler Labine, Katrina Bowden. Opens February 10
