Young, over-eager producer (McAdams) tries to save a morning TV show with an impossible, pompous anchor (Ford) and a love interest on the side. Unfortunately, even Harrison Ford can’t charm his way out of this film, gift-wrapped in a Hollywood bow marked cliché. A few actually genuine laughs (Matt Malloy choking aboard a plane on live TV and Diane Keaton kissing a frog) barely save it from being a movie to avoid.
MORNING GLORY | Directed by Roger Michell (USA 2010) with Rachel McAdams, Harrison Ford. Opens January 13.
