Three radical environmentalists decide to blow up a hydroelectric dam, but find themselves dealing with unexpected emotional fallout. While the exploration of the personal side of fundamentalists is interesting and the cinematography’s emphasis on long takes of nature and thematic juxtaposition is reminiscent of Tarkovsky at his most beautiful, the overly silent nature of the script pulls the plot to a level of abstraction that leaves more questions than answers.
