A picture of the Puccios

OUT NOW! Pablo Trapero paints a sexy, violent and slightly surreal picture of an Argentinian crime family after the fall of the military dictatorship in the 1980s.

El Clan relates with aesthetic flair the crimes carried out by the Puccio family during the years following the military dictatorship in Argentina in the 1980s. It’s above all a film about opposites: the relationship between father and son, the public and the private, and the transition from an autocratic to a democratic state. Trapero manages to investigate these contrasts with detail, whilst also giving us something funny, sexy, violent and a little surreal along the way.

El Clan | Directed by Pablo Trapero (Argentina, Spain 2015) with Guillermo Francella, Peter Lanzani. Starts March 3.
