Relationship woes

OUT NOW! BREAK MY FALL follows two young, London lesbians on the relationship road movie to nowhere.

Kat and Liza are lovers, but even though they share a special bond, their relationship doesn’t seem to work. Neither does the film. The couple’s friends are odd and unnecessary, and the plot is dull and filled with holes. With its raw filming (notice the microphone holder’s shadow in the beginning), punky London music and frivolous characters, it may resemble a hipster cult film, but when the credits appear, you’re wondering why you had to spend 106 minutes following a story that went absolutely nowhere.

BREAK MY FALL | Directed by Kanchi Wichmann (UK 2010) with Kat Redstone, Sophie Anderson. Opens April 14
