Our advice? Look away

OUT NOW! The sheer catastrophic calibre of THE COUNSELOR is a sight to behold.

Our advice? Avoid “The Counselor”.

A legal aid (Fassbender) to the criminal elite finds himself in hot water when a sewage truck full of heroin goes AWOL at the US-Mexican border. Viewing The Counselor is like witnessing a penalty skied over in a Champions League final: the sheer catastrophic calibre of the event is a sight to behold. Fassbender is just one of many glittering names responsible but sadly much of the blame rests on the weighted debut screenplay of Pulitzer Prize winner Cormac McCarthy – or perhaps whoever let him loose.

The Counsellor | Directed by Ridley Scott (USA 2013) with Michael Fassbender, Penelope Cruz. Starts November 28
