Martial farts

OUT NOW! Tarantino could find SERBUAN MAUT too bloody with its fights lasting 20 minutes and little left over for plot.

If your wet dream is Street Fighter meets Counter-Strike on celluloid, you’re in luck! If not, look elsewhere. A SWAT team goes on a secret mission to end the reign of a drug lord, something – surprise! – turns awry and… let’s just say Tarantino could find this movie too bloody. The martial arts are awesome, but with fights lasting 20 minutes, it’s all too much. Policeman Rama (Uwais) meets his long-lost brother which could have put real essence in the story, buuuut… just leads to more fights.

Serbuan Maut (The Raid) | Directed by Gareth Evans (Indonesia, USA 2011) with Iko Uwais, Joe Taslim. Starts July 12
