Expatriarch: The next Generations

Expatriarch is back with more Generations, a four-night series in which established Berlin artists take emerging ones under their wing, starting with Aérea Negrot and Longopus. Watch their interview here and then join them on May 15 at Schwuz.

Respect your elders! Even if they are only so in a professional sense. Expatriarch is back with a second run of Generations, a four-part series in which established Berlin artists take emerging ones under their wing for a night of music and performance, reaching out not just to one another but to the jubilant masses as well.

Last year saw such prodigious pairings as Gudrun Gut and Borusiade, Planningtorock and James K, Peaches and Ziúr, and Perera Elsewhere and Bella Cuts. This year, aside from coalescing in their natural club habitats, Generations adds a series of videos (directed by Stefan Fähler, who along with the Generations artwork did the cover for our April issue) in which we get to see artist-on-artist action.

The first one (above) features operatic techno diva (and ex-Hercules & Love Affair member) Aérea Negrot and Longopus. Watch the video, join them at Schwuz on Friday, May 15, and look out for the second instalment in July.
