This Halloween, as some Berliners prepare to descend on the city in search of whatever weird fix you’re after, we’ve been peering into every cobwebbed corner to bring you the best of what’s on. Whether on the prowl for a party, looking for a watering-hole to escape the moonlight, or simply trying to entertain your little monsters, there’s plenty of ghoulish fun for everyone. Creepiest cabaret Scotty the Blue Bunny, in all of his rampant, spandex glory will be your host for an evening of cackle-inducing comedy, music, singing and dancing from Canada’s Cheesecake Burlesque Revue and Leipzig’s very own Mama Ulita. Naturally, there’s a costume contest also, so make sure to transmogrify yourself to the max for the chance to win cupcakes and other treats. Haunted house of history
As the moon casts its shadow over The Museum of Natural History, it will transform for one night only into a haunted house, with monsters, creepy creatures, dinosaurs and a Bloody Mary cocktail bar for the grown-up vampires to feed from whilst the sprogs brave the haunted behind-the-scenes tours, scary-storytelling, face-painting and much, much more.

Supernatural on screen
The best Halloween plan for the indecisive includes tarot, tours of Monsterkabinett, evil drinks and sho(r)ts at SNIPER, and the obligatory torrent of blood, death, and damnation in Alucarda, a 1978 Mexican horror film. Free shot with your ticket!
HAIL TO THEE, WITCH! 21:00 | Central Kino, Rosenthaler Str. 39, Mitte, S-Bhf Berlin Hackescher Markt
It’s a queer/fetish/disco party, so come as you are/whoever you’d like to be and immerse yourself in raw, acidic, industrial-tinged techno with Sirio Gry J, Modular Systems, and Brandolino + Tim. See bondage and suspensions on stage and dress for a ritual. You might get dirty.

What sort of Halloween would it be without a few ghosts? Enter Detroit’s legendary Ghostly label, with a sound that updates the old wave of techno with ambient and experimental flecks. The cornerstone of the label Tadd Mullinix, referencing his acid-y James T. Cotton guise this evening over his hip-hoppy Dabrye ID, label mate Fort Romeau boasts a balearic/nü disco take that merges well with the Italo vibe of Jeffrey Sfire, while Ghostly refers to Todd “Osbourne” Osborn as house music’s MacGyver, who never did battle the Ghostly Trio, did he?
GHOSTLY NIGHT: JAMES T. COTTON/FORT ROMEAU 23:59 | Berghain / Panorama Bar, Am Wriezener Bahnhof, Friedrichshain, S-Bhf Ostbahnhof
White trash dresses up
Put your face on, get your weirdest glad rags on and head down to where the punks and glam-rockers hang out. The Hip Priests, Dirty & The Girlscouts, Eat Lipstick and the DJ-team Anita Drink and The Shredder join you for a night of gritty punk and a bit of cross-dressing. Make-up is a must, and it’s a discounted door for fancy-dressers.
HALLOWEEN!! 21:00 | White Trash Fast Food, Am Flutgraben 2, Treptow, S-Bhf Berlin Treptower Park
Put on your doll costumes and rock out to the first album from the “twisted toy box of demented musicians” that is Eatus Fetus and their cabaret shenanigans. Murderous tunes from Godmother open and tantalizing performances by the blood-smattered Lisa Vandalism and mysterious Beatrice Baumann accompany the show. A human marionette will be your host, so can it get any creepier?
