Jessica Reitz is co-owner of “do you read me?!”. She moved to Berlin 10 years ago and opened the shop in 2008.

When I don’t spend the entire weekend at “do you read me?!” (“Magazines and Literature for the Present”)…

Friday

20:00 I love to start the weekend with an exhibition opening party at my favorite gallery, Pool (Tucholskystraße 38, Mitte).

21:00 I can’t wait to eat a delicious cutlet at Bützow (Linienstraße 113, Mitte).

1:00 I go to the bar at Hotel Amano (Auguststraße 43), for some of Berlin´s best gin and tonics.

Saturday

11:00 or later I enjoy an extensive breakfast and some magazines. My favorites are 032c, Bidoune, Monocle and ZEITmagazin.

15:30 I watch a soccer game at the Olympiastadion (Platz 3 Olympischer, Wilmersdorf). It’s fun… even if Hertha loses!

19:00 I meet some friends (without their kids) and go for a great pizza at Berlin’s best pizza restaurant, A Magica (Greifenhagener Straße 54, Prenzlauer Berg). From there, it’s just around the corner to Eselsbrück (Greifenhagener Straße 18, Prenzlauer Berg) – one of the city’s best “corner pubs” – for some beer.

3:00 Clubbing at .HBC (Karl-Liebknecht-Straße 9, Mitte).

Sunday

12:00 After breakfast, it’s a family or friends day.

13:00 I meet my godson, pick up Lizzy (the dog) from Mark Kiessling, the co-owner of “do you read me?!”. We take a long walk in Treptower Park, making sure that nobody tumbles into the water, and stopping by Klipper am Plänterwald (at the end of Bulgarische Straße, Treptow), one of my favorite restaurants on the Spree.

16.00 It´s time for art, so we stop by the Neue Nationalgalerie (Potsdamer Straße 50, Mitte) or Hamburger Bahnhof (Invalidenstraße 50, Mitte).

20:15 I watch the classic crime series Tatort on TV.
