Das radikal Böse
Das radikal Böse is out in Berlin cinemas on January 16.
Oscar-winner Ruzowitzky (The Counterfeiters) explores the mass murder after 1941 of two million Jews – men, women and children – by task forces consisting of German soldiers and policeman. Unknown actors play soldiers reacting to orders: accompanied by readings from memoirs and letters that go from rejection to complicity and backed by interviews with big-name experts in the fields of military and social psychology, this matrix of the factors that enable and encourage evil deserves a wide, attentive audience.
Das radikal Böse | Directed by Stefan Ruzowitzky (Germany, Austria 2013), docudrama. Starts January 16
