Not an A+ but high marks
The mark of any good teen movie adults can also enjoy is the rewatchability factor. On that score Easy A might lack the replay value found in films such as Mean Girls. On the other hand it refreshingly avoids the Hollywood-ambient Puritanism by keeping away from any straight condemnation of sexual promiscuity – as long as you don’t lie that is! And Emma Stone does a good job as the nerd turned sexpot.
Easy A | Directed by Will Gluck (USA 2010) with Emma Stone and Patricia Clarkson. Opens November 11.
