Restaurant Lorbeer
Starting off with a refreshing Osterwasser – that’s Prosecco with strawberries, rhubarb and lime – the special Easter Sunday “don’t-call-it-brunch” menu at the quaint Lorbeer settles into hearty, classic cuisine with chef Jedidjah Buchmann’s neo-German approach. Vegans and herbivores beware: the meal will begin with buffalo mozzarella from Brandenburg served on a nest of wild herbs, followed by the traditional Easter lamb filet, pan-fried and served with burgundy sauce, flat beans and decadent duchess potatoes on the side. A cream puff served with strawberries and mascarpone mousse will round out the €35 meal. Be sure to reserve a spot either online or by phone as space is limited!

Die Berliner Republik
With its traditional, Berliner cuisine, the Easter Brunch at the Berliner Republik will keep you full through the holy days. The popular Hauptstadtkneipe with a view of the Spree is family-oriented and offers classic German dishes like Bavarian sausages, Wiener Schnitzel and Rinderroulade “like your mom used to make”. On both March 27 and 28 they will serve a selection of their best dishes in addition to traditional German sweets and the popular Berliner cold fruit stew, for just €16.90 (half-price for kids!). If this feast leaves you with any space in your stomach, you can digest it with one of the restaurant's 18 different draught beers, prices varying depending on how popular the beer is on the particular day.

Hotel Adlon Kempinski
For those with deep pockets, or a rich Uncle Pennybags in town, enjoy Easter in the very plush surroundings of the Adlon Hotel with a lush brunch buffet. A €145 price tag gets you just about everything, including champagne, hot beverages and a parade of dishes that haven't been specified yet, but will probably involve both lamb and lobster. There's even an Easter egg hunt in the garden at 1pm for your privileged brat. For those who want a set meal at a slightly lower €99, their Easter menu on from March 25 through Easter Monday includes, of course, lamb filet and egg liqueur praline for desert.

Die Fischerhuette am Schlachtensee
Sure, the picturesque surroundings are half the experience if you're brunching at the beautiful Alte Fischerhütte by the Schlachtensee in southwest Berlin. But the old restaurant, built in 1760, renovated and modernised in 2005, offers a pretty solid Easter brunch, consisting of a starter, a choice of three main courses and all the fruit you can eat for €35 per person. The kitchen focuses on seasonal Bavarian specialties and also prides itself on its many different egg dishes, which you will have the chance to stuff yourself with next weekend. Brunch will be served Sunday and Monday, March 27 and 28 from 10am to 2pm.

Café Morgenrot
We know, we know. The capital of Germany is also the capital of heathen atheists, agnostics and other non-Christian types, but should you go hungry? No! Don't miss out as the rest of the city gorges on a holy combination of carbs and morning booze. One of the last anarchist bastions in Prenzlauer Berg, Cafe Morgenrot provides the perfect alternative brunch for your alternative lifestyle, a vegetarian- and vegan-friendly buffet with lots of miscellaneous Aufstriches. The lefties there do brunch every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so Easter shouldn't be any more or less crowded than usual. You pay on a sliding scale between €6-12, although the owners encourage €9.
