Adrett
You want your clothes to express your love for Berlin, but less obviously than “I Heart NK” t-shirts and bags with bears on them. For a piece of the city that you can actually wear to work, Adrett (literally, “dapper”) is your store.
Opened last year by Ina Franke and Torsten Behrend, the shop only sells products made in or near Berlin: mainly clothes, but also jewelery, shoes and bags. You’ll find hyper-local labels like the vegan-only Umasan or Bergnerschmidt, whose chunky, “experimental” concrete jewellery (ring, €69) is inspired by the Bauhaus tradition.
Shopping this close to home comes with a price, of course – dresses from Umasan go for €299, and the closest thing to a budget item is a €59 t-shirt – but all the clothes here are timeproof.
