Canadian Dan Bodan offers a cracked art-soul pedigree, with Pink-ish glitch and echo mixed with vocals of Tom Jones-ian intensity. Bodan is also doing soundtracks for fashion shows and dance compositions, so catch him before he disappears behind nature’s dark glasses.
Another one (wo)man band, Yanira of Spain (Palencia with a “p”) claims no attachment to spacetime or other limits, though her voice is surely from another world. Part of the current folktronica vanguard, her album Sueños y Relámpagos (“Dreams and Lightning”) is out soon. She claims salt to be sugar and sugar, salt, so consider her tasteful.
DJ Shiner plays clean-up, per usual, spinning a mathematically integrated collection of musical pieces in the indie/britpop/electro you have heard all too often. And yet not often enough, evidently!
